I would like to tell you why I wanted to make my story public. I would like to help all people, with and without disabilities, and their families by telling them the story of my life. I want to inspire everyone to try to do as much for themselves as I did. I want to give them the example of what I was able to accomplish, living on my own with a disability. It wasn’t easy for me or for my family. I almost died before I was a year old. I was very sick, but I survived all my illnesses with the help of God and my parents, Hazel and Frank Mulzet. God sent me wonderful parents. No one was more supportive than my mother and father. They brought me up to be a smart young man and how to care for myself. They taught me to pray and I asked God to help me achieve my goals each day.
I always say, “God helps those who help themselves.” If you have enough courage and enough faith God will walk with you. You need him every step of the way. Prayer is so powerful. I enjoy talking to God even when I am mad at him. It makes me feel better. Believe God is there with you on your journey through life.
